چکیده

In this study, 12 organic waste materials were subjected to TG/DTG thermogravimetric analysis and DSC calorimetric analysis. These analyses provided basic information about thermochemical transformations degradation rates during pyrolysis. Organic divided into six groups as follows: paper, cardboard, textiles, plastics, hygiene waste, biodegradable waste. For each group, two selected be studied. Research (i) paper (receipts, cotton wool); (ii) cardboard (cardboard, egg carton); (iii) textiles (cotton, leather); (iv) plastics (polyethylene (PET), polyurethane (PU)); (v) (diapers, leno); (vi) (chicken meat, potato peel). Waste chosen represent the most abundant that can found in municipal solid stream. Based on TG results, kinetic parameters according Coats–Redfern method determined. The pyrolysis activation energy was highest for cotton, 134.5 kJ × (mol?K)?1, lowest leather, 25.2 (mol?K)?1. showed a number of occurred material. transformation, normalized required or released determined, then summarized present balance. study balance negative only three materials—PET (?220.1 J g?1), leather (?66.8 chicken meat (?130.3 g?1)—whereas positive value peelings (367.8 g?1). obtained results may applied modelling mass

Thermal Analysis of GCLs at a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill

This study was conducted to determine long-term thermal regime of landfill liner systems using a field temperature monitoring program and numerical analysis of heat transfer. Temperatures in liner systems that contain geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) were monitored prior and subsequent to waste placement. Data were collected in three cells at a landfill in Midwestern USA for more than five years...

Thermal Plasma Gasification of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)

Rapid economic development has led to an annual increase in municipal solid waste (MSW) production. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), MSW generation has increased by a factor of 2.6 since 1960 [1]. The US EPA endorsed the concept of integrated waste management that could be tailored to fit particular community’s needs. Sustainable and successful treatment of MSW shou...
